The Workshop The Traditional Upholstery Workshop courses take place in The Old Piggery which is a newly converted workshop in a beautiful rural location outside the village of Meidrim in Carmarthenshire, just 7 miles west of Carmarthen in West Wales. The workshop is very well equipped with a kitchen area and toilet facilities.
The view from the workshop is spectacular, looking over fields to the River Taf estuary leading to the sea at Laugharne (of Dylan Thomas fame). The area is ideally placed for exploring the whole of the West Wales peninsula where you will find numerous sandy beaches, castles, places to walk and go bird watching and a wide choice of theme and farm parks. The excellent National Botanic Gradens of Wales and Aberglasney Gardens are about 15 miles away. Accommodation while on our courses Students are provided with a list of local B&Bs and holiday lets so they can book their own accommodation for the duration of their course.
